Accolade was born from a decade of producing real ceremonies. We built the tool we wished existed.

THE ORIGIN

Accolade was created by the team behind The Asian Awards, one of the most recognised awards ceremonies celebrating achievement across the global Asian community. After years of managing nominations, judging panels, guest lists, sponsors, and live production using spreadsheets, disconnected tools, and sheer willpower, we decided to build a single platform that handles everything.

Every module in Accolade exists because we needed it on a real event. The Guest & Table Planner exists because we once manually re-seated 400 guests at 2am. The Run of Show exists because missing a cue on live television is not an option. The Sponsor Pipeline exists because we tracked millions in sponsorship deals across inboxes and sticky notes.

This is not software built by engineers guessing what event organisers need. It is software built by event organisers who learned to code.

Founded in 2010, The Asian Awards honours exceptional achievement across business, sport, entertainment, philanthropy, and public service. Past honourees include Sir Ben Kingsley, Malala Yousafzai, Shah Rukh Khan, Freddie Mercury (posthumous), and Sir Mo Farah.

Founder & CEO

Paul founded The Asian Awards in 2010, turning it into one of the most recognised ceremonies celebrating achievement across the global Asian community. After 14 years of producing large-scale ceremonies attended by over 1,200 guests, broadcast internationally, and backed by 50+ global sponsors, he built Accolade to solve the problems he lived through every year.

Before Accolade, Paul's team managed nominations in spreadsheets, judging panels via email chains, guest seating with sticky notes, and sponsor pipelines in inboxes. Every ceremony meant rebuilding the same infrastructure from scratch. Accolade exists because he refused to do that a 15th time.

THE TEAM

Accolade is built by a small, focused team that combines deep event industry experience with modern software engineering. We are deliberately lean because we believe the best products come from teams where everyone has run a real ceremony.

We are based in London and work closely with a network of awards organisers, event planners, and ceremony producers who test every feature before it ships.

WHY WE BUILT ACCOLADE

Most event software focuses on ticketing or registration. None of it understands the full lifecycle of a ceremony: the months of outreach, the judging logistics, the sponsor management, the production planning, and the post-event follow-up. We built Accolade to cover every stage, because we live every stage.

We also built it for teams like ours who do not have enterprise IT departments. Accolade is designed to be picked up and used immediately, with no training, no consultants, and no six-month implementation. If you can run a ceremony, you can use Accolade.
