HOW ACCOLADE COMPARES
Three side-by-side comparisons with the platforms UK awards organisers usually shortlist alongside us. Every claim we make about another platform is footnoted to a source, with the date we checked it.
How we write these
We only state something about another platform if we can point at the page we read and the date we read it. Where we could not substantiate a claim, we deleted it rather than rewording it into something vaguer.
That means these pages are shorter than they used to be, and it means several rows now favour the other platform. Those rows stayed in. A comparison that only ever finds in our favour is not a comparison, it is an advert with a table in it.
All three pages were last reviewed on 7 August 2026. If something here is out of date, tell us at hello@accolade.live and we will correct it and re-date the page.
Accolade vs Award Force
Award Force is a mature submissions-and-judging platform from Creative Force, with published prices, a choice of hosting region and ISO 27001, SOC 2 and Cyber Essentials certification.
Where they win: independent security certification, entry volume, and a choice of five hosting regions. Where we win: everything that happens after the judging decision — seating, sponsors, catering, check-in and run of show.

OpenWater is an application-and-review platform owned by Advanced Solutions International, running awards alongside grants, scholarships, fellowships and conference abstracts for more than 750 organisations.
Where they win: breadth across five programme types, 65-plus AMS and CRM integrations, and a published ten-minute average support response. Where we win: depth on the awards evening itself, and UK/EU-only data residency.

Where they win: a native iPhone and Android attendee app, one-to-one meeting matchmaking, and exhibitor lead scanning — none of which Accolade offers. Where we win: nominations, judging, winners and the ceremony itself.
